Dr. Tuckers’ Training at the Inspire® Cadaver lab in Pittsburgh, PA!

The pinnacle of Dr. Tuckers’ career was this past Wednesday.  He was invited to attend the Inspire^® Cadaver lab in Pittsburgh, PA.  He is extremely honored to be the first dentist to go through this program! We would like to thank  Jerilyn White, Principal Account Manager, Inspire^® Medical Systems, Inc. May Fang, Trainer Manager, Inspire^® Medical Systems, Inc., and Rob Suter, Territory Manager Charlotte, and Western NC, Inspire^® Medical Systems, Inc. for making this a reality for Dr. John Tucker.

If you have attended one of our Tucker Educational Excellence programs, you will recall that we have been speaking about Hypoglossal Nerve Stimulation (HNS) since the first STAR trial appeared in the literature in 2010. On Wednesday, April 14, 2021, our friend and mentor, Gunnar Bergqvist, MD, and Dr. Tucker attended the Inspire^® Cadaver Lab at the National Bioskills Laboratory in Pittsburgh.  The two of them were able to implant the Inspire^® Upper Airway Stimulator successfully.  Dr. Bergqvist will be the implanter, and Dr. Tucker will be the activator.  We are very excited to offer this treatment option for the CPAP intolerant patient to the Erie, PA community.
